David Kell - Head Coach

Entering his 8th Season as the Coach of the Huskies, Coach Kell has an overall record of 107-98.

Hailing from Ohio, Coach Kell found his passion for ice hockey between the pipes at the age of 6. As a youth Kell played AAA hockey in Cleveland and was selected to two Mid American Select Camps. Kell left Ohio during his sophomore year to attend Pomfret School in Connecticut. Coach Kell was a starter all three years he attended Pomfret. Kell was recruited out of Pomfret by numerous DIII colleges and in the end decided to attend St. Mary's College of Minnesota. Coach Kell, went on to play collegiate soccer at SMC. He played all four years and was Captain for his last two. Kell took a hockey hiatus in order to attend Pace University School of Law in New York where he earned his JD.

Coach Kell started his coaching career in Ohio where he earned a cumulative 65% winning percentage, with most of those wins coming in the tough Red North in Cleveland. Through the years many of his student- athletes moved on to play at the NCAA DIII or Junior A/B level, some even higher. Kell was named to the Rocky River High School Pirates varsity ice hockey team as the goalie coach in 1999. Then Kell was asked to join the St. Ignatius Wildcats Varsity team. Kell was the goalie and defensive assistant from 2000 – 2003. In 2004 he was named an assistant at St. Charles Prep. in Columbus. Coach Kell lives in Issaquah, Washington with his wife Libby, daughter Emma and their English Bulldog Gus.

Chris Stephenson - Assistant Coach
As the son of a former NHL goalie, Coach Stephenson was introduced to hockey very early. As a youth Stephenson played hockey in Milwaukee and was an all-state forward at Marquette High School. Coach Stephenson played his collegiate hockey at Holy Cross in Worcester, MA where he also earned his majors in Economics & Accounting.

Coach Stephenson started his coaching career in Massachusetts with the St Moritz Devils organization. He took time away from hockey after moving to Seattle in 2005 and is now in his 2nd year with the Huskies. Coach Stephenson lives in Bellevue, Washington with his wife Meegan and their two dogs, Theodore & Lilly.
